BINARY – MEETING / BINARY 2003 opened its gates in the ROMEXPO complex

Bucharest (MEDIA EXPRES) / September 25 2003 / The sixth edition of the National Electronic and Software Exposition – BINARY 2003 – the most important annual event dedicated to the professional communication industry, opened Wednesday September 24.

The exposition takes place in Bucharest from 24 to 26 September 2003, at the ROMEXPO Conference Center. BINARY includes an exposition, a commercial fair, communication programs and conferences, the National Distinction Contest for The Best Software and also the competition for the annual Microsoft and Oracle prizes.

The complex of events spread along the three days also includes:
- The 3rd edition of the National Contest for the Youth – E – Idea? – ideas for Program Products. Being under the Communication and Information Technology Ministry ownership, the fair is in fact a job and ideas market. One side is addressed to the youngsters that want to make their initiatives in the software product development known to the public, and the other one to the firms and financing institutions that want to make real these ideas.
- The lobby conference? The European integration of the Romanian electronic and software market, partnerships, programs and support politics.
- The Investment Forum – Venture Capital.
The purpose of the forum’s first edition is to bring forward and promote “The Venture Imperative” in Romania. The most important European institutions in the field will be taking part : European Business Angels Network (EBAN), European Investment Fund (EIF), European Venture Capital Association (EVCA), the Gate2Growth initiative.

The 2003 Binary Exposition is organized by the Communication and Information Technology Ministry, the Education, Research and Youth Ministry, the National Information Science Research and Development Institute, the Automatics and Computers Faculty from the Polytechnic University in Bucharest and the Romanian Association for Electronics and Software Industry. The Romanian Association for Electronics and Software Industry (ARIES) was founded in 1993 and presently holds 280 member companies and holds close relations with other 1500 IT companies from the Romanian market. ARIES annually hosts the most important event dedicated to the internal production of electronics and software, Binary , and is the European IT&C Federation partner (EICTA) in the ELECTRANET project – an European integration project in the IT&C field. ARIES runs along with its external and internal partners project for the increase of the Romanian IT exports. (NAM)
