Teleste’s Ubique is a software framework for video content management that allows operators to offer their customers a superior user experience and a way to easily navigate their way through the OTT jungle

Turku, Finland (TELESTE) / 29 August 2016 / Teleste Corporation, a leading provider of video and broadband technologies and related services, highlights its software framework for video content management for operators. The framework, called Ubique, can be used to build tailored and comprehensive content management systems in a multivendor, multiscreen environment.

It allows operators to create an access point to all interactive video services for their customers, thereby providing consumers with an easy way to enjoy OTT services on various consumer devices.

The Ubique framework allows operators to build comprehensive interactive video platforms by the means of integrating together their existing servers, billing, CAS, middleware and transcoders as well as managing EPG and PSI/SI information. It also makes it possible for operators to control set-top boxes and decide what their customer EPG should look like.

What makes Ubique unique is the fact that it is a video content management system, whereas many other available content management systems do not have such a sharp focus on video. Ubique supports video files in various formats and makes it possible to stream them to one, several or all customers. It also allows operators to control set-top boxes and offers such functions as video capture, easy upload and flexible searches based on metadata.
